Franciscan University of Steubenville Rick Santorum Receives the Poverello

A powerful witness of life and love, former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum relates a bit of the great blessing they have received in their children, two of whom were born with disorders that render them "less than human" in the eyes of the world. Rick and his wife, Karen, received Franciscan Universitys highest non-academic award, the Poverello Medal March 11 at a ceremony in Washington D.C. The couple were recognized for their pro-life witness in the public square and as parents.
